Anyways, Patch 1.02 just came out for the KOFXII. By the looks and feedback from people. It's pretty positive. I'm just waiting for the patch to finish.. But I truly can't wait to play online again.

Just got LBP yesterday. Been playing almost the whole day...
Really fun when co-op, and this game is amazing.
I can't believe they were able to make this game more of a mod game. I.e tools to make level. And really more community based. I suggest everyone to pick this game up.

KOFXII Impressions/ And my achievements.

By the word "Achievements" you probably thought of Xbox. EH! Wrong!.
These are personal achievements that I've managed to succeed within these past days with my KOFXII copy :D.

Let me just tell you that I'm having a blast with this game. Non-stop Versus with my brother, Time trialing the shit out of each character, Playing online in slow-mo, clans. And etc, this game fking rocks!.
Some stuffs I've succeeded within 3 days:
- Clan "TheCounts" are in the Top 7! Good job team!!
- Ranked #5 on Time trials, "03:06 sec" (7/26/09, around 11pm) Thanks "The_KZA"
- Get around 30+% on trophies. - Gotten better and gotten hands on experience with each character!

Lemme say this again. Fkin love this game.
Right now I'm donwloading the patch (1:25 AM, July 27th), and it's around 772MB.
I speculate that this will fix the netcode but what's that extra big space? Maybe some modes? Extra features?, we'll just see once the download finishes.

My impressions were a bit dull before I got the game, but when I tried this baby out;
This game is definitely tied up with KOF98 in my opinion.

Yes, we all loved 98 (Except the XBLA one, really bad netcode).

Even if the character roster is small, the game is still up to it's core. With the yet again favorite KOF mechanics.

I'll jsut post a review on Wednesday, So I can rate how the new netcode would be.

Finally fought Mike Z

Yes that's true, finally fought one of the best Tager player. And you know what the end result was from our fight? Adding all lobby count games. 19-0
Yes, he got 19 wins and I got 0 wins. There were 2 very close game though, that I only needed 1 more hit to win, but he still manage to pin me in the corner and use Emerald Buster.

But with those fights, I manage to find more Tager tricks now. Really fun game.

Argh, still mad that I almost won!

But aside getting owned by Mike Z, (And also got owned from Taokakaftw's Taokaka yesterday with his crazy "Anti-Tager" combos)

I managed to find a new Sub character.
Arakune!

It's still hard getting his insect moves down (like knowing when to use them), but the constant pressure and Arakune tricks are enough to make him very versatile in battles.

~ EVO Winners!

Today was the most important day for us fighting game communities. EVO is one of the most widely attracted gaming event for fighting games where each gamer competes. There will always be 1 winner, and today, there is no doubt they deserved it!


Street Fighter 3rd strike - Didn't manage to see it (was asleep because I was watching the whole 5 v 5 event that made it from 11pm - around 3am) And the 3rd strike finals was around 9 am. But I did see the last fight. Justin Wong won. Subscribe to IGN insider to see the footage! East Coast Justin Wong!

Soul Calibur 4 - Amazing play by a guy from France. He managed to use Ivy until the very end. He manages to pull off Ivy's crazy command throws more than once in a game. (amazing)

GGXXAC - Latif vs. Marn, Marn was a bit of a douche on 1st day SF (Or I think it was the 2nd day). With the stream going nuts with his *Hip thrust* execution against a respected player. Also touching Arturo's arm was controversial. But Marn manage to pull off good sportsmanship on the GG finals. Sadly, Marn's Eddie wasn't enough to beat Latif's experienced Eddie!. Latif wins from Saudi Arabia!

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Sanford vs. Justin Wong. Really good game, Too bad the stream was laggy enough and made MvC2 really unwatchable. *Stares at life bar*
But Sanford takes home the 1st place!

BlazBlue - Didn't see much of the gameplay, but all I know HeartNaNa won the exhibition finals. Really good Noel combo's. And throw whiff Noel combos was precise! Very good pressure Noel!

Tubo HD Remix - Look this up on SRK, I didn't see the match but I think John Choi won or Afrolegend. Not sure.

Street Fighter 4 - Last but not least. Justin Wong Vs. Daigo Umehara. Amazing conclusion game from EVO2k9. Justin Wong used Able, but lost from Daigo and he changed to Balrog until the final set and until the last game. Really good Balrog, but Daigo managed to read him like a book at the final match. Watching Daigo play was amazing, No fancy stuff, just pure technical and risk moves. Alot of footsies from both of them, but in the end, Daigo wins with his infamous Ryu.

There are Youtube videos of the final, But the quality and the FPS sucks, so I think IGN got this covered if you want HD quality and 60FPS. Not entirely sure, but let's just see.

PS Home big update!/ I think SF4 is dead to me

Yesterday, I had no time to write an article, mainly because of 3 reasons.
Southpark, BlazBlue, and the PS Home update.

Southpark - I've been watching South Park alot lately, Even if they're re-runs or those live stream that never stops showing south park, It just never gets old!

BlazBlue - Reached level 41. Level 40 to Level 41 felt like the longest level run. 3.1 million points!, now I need 3.4 million points. (-Tear's hair off-)


PS Home Update - Really awesome update, they just released the Namco Essectial arcade space, Namco Theatre, EA Fight night round 4 space, BUZZ, and a newer look of PS Home "Mall".
(I think I'm starting to like PS Home now!) Just check it out for yourselves. If you only have an Xbox 360, well, too bad..



I think SF4 is dead to me
I haven't played SF4 for awhile. My TE stick is collecting Dust, and my Xbox Live is soon expiring. I think I should just mod the TE stick for the PS3.
BlazBlue killed my SF4!!!

SF4 is just too boring now. Slow and too "Zonish", I guess this is why I love BlazBlue now, Fast Paced and requires good reflex.

BlazBlue = Best game this generation, Might tie up with Tekken 6 though, We'll just wait and see!

- BlazBlue > GG (Storyline)

I've been really "into" the Guilty gear ever since the first one (PS1, Justice was hard as ****).
Been through the beginning until GG:XXAC. I didn't really find the story of Guilty Gear appealing, but the soundtrack was great.

Until BlazBlue arrived. I thought it would be a nice clone of GG with mediocre wannabe GG music and no plot at all. But let me tell you, I was so wrong about this.

It seems BlazBlue has more depth on the story than anyone's first impression of the game is.
I'm guessing there would obviously gonna be a sequel, which is more exciting than GG releasing another GG with just an added X or "Reload" (...)

SO I started playing GG a bit on the pc, knowing if my skills has gotten better or gotten worse after playing BlazBlue. But I found everything was a tad boring, (+ forgot every Slayer combo I've ever knew..)

I guess I'm gonna stick with the BlazBlue series now. Read the storyline and pay attention of the story, It's so damn great, once you understand what would happen or what has happened, and knowing each character relationships.

Well, now with these crazy delays. I hope they add or fix something. There's really no point of delaying unless you have to fix/add something on the game.

Should we believe on what the fan page said? 20 characters on the arcade +2 official characters known as (Elisabeth and Mature), But if this information is true, then there should be 4 hidden characters?

Well, lets just see what happens once we get the game. July 20-21 st on gamestop.
Just don't be surprised if they delayed the game again. (Amazon seems to delay the game)

+ Tager Combo's

Combo's and good setup is the key to win with Tager. This video inspired me to use Tager as my main Main! Really good. Applaud to MikeZ Aka MikeZwasTaken

BNB Combo's:
­236B - B+C - 623C - 6 - 6C - D (A good setup to magnetize)
B+C - 623C - 236B - 236A -> 236A (Variety combo)
2A - C - 6A - 236A (repeat) (Not a combo, but good pressure tactics and strong damage input)

Advanced Combo's/Setups:
41236D - C - 6A - 2C - (wait for the enemy to be a little high up on the air) 623C (tap) - 720 (once he lands on the ground)

Midair.2C - A+B+C (Rapid cancel) - 2B - C - 623C - 2 options after this combo
Either 6 - 6C - D
or 236B - C - 236A -> 236A

360B - 2B - 2C - 623C (Then after this, varietize your combo) (Alot of combinations)

And those are the main combo's I usually use. There's probably a lot more awesome combo's but yeah, that is up to you to discover and have fun with Tager!!

+ BB How to use Tager properly

Ok so you want to use Tager eh? Well, this is the right article to read about it.

If you're questioning my experience with Tager, I would politely tell you this. I managed to reach from level 12 to level 32 using Tager in 1 day. All win streaks against level 30+'s. No kidding, it's really hard to fight a goood Tager that knows what they're doing. I'll help you accomplish that.

First of all, try practicing Tager's 360's and 720's Distortion drive. You can also do this while blocking.
Best times to buffer these are when you Jump, After a drive attack (Preferably 2D), or backdash. (44)

Tager's Backdash gives him a moment of invinsibility. (keep that in mind)

Mobility:
Having a hard time getting close to the enemy? Try this. High jump C then whn falling down press C. This should give you half screen distance to the enemy already. + you can elbow drop once they're close.

Elbow Drop:
The moves I always use with Tager the most is his Elbow drop (Midair2C) Because you can do it during high up in the air, or low airtimes, and it's always an overhead attack.
And also if you manage to knockdown your enemy with the Elbow drop, you can whiff or hit your enemy with a Sledge Hammer B (236B) which can be combod if you enemy got hit. Or you can command throw him if you whiffed.

Magnetize:
Also Keep in mind that Tager's trump card is the magnetize property. It can magnetize command throw, Astral heat, Drives, and 6A. Most of these do Tons of damage. (Except for 6A, but you can command throw once hit)
Once your enemy is magnetized, you pretty much got the advantage of the battle (until it wear off). Also try remembering that Tager's 720 can magnetized almost half a screen away if you hold the button.

When to Use his 720's:
Having a problem landing his 720's against anyone online? well, just keep in mind that this godly throw can magnetized. So try magnetizing the enemy first. then once they come close, DO IT!. His 720 reach is as far as his arm's reach, which is pretty far for to be honest.

Here's a list of the best ways when to do it.
-After knockdown, do the throw on top of their body
-After 2D
-After Sledge Hammer
-After a combo (We'll get to that on the next blog, tricky but 100% chance of landing 720)
-After hitting with j.B
