Left 4 Dead Review by Count
Story: This game has no plot at all. The only story or plot you can come up with are the writings on the wall on the safe room. This game lacks plot but surely enough, the gameplay makes up for it. Valve proved that even games without story can stand out with the crowds!
Music: Very tense at some moments. Especially if you hear the horde music. You better get ready. And the witch sound quality is top notch. Surround Sound works so well in this game. The only cheap thing about the music are the voices of each characters. You'll notice that they used the sound clips on the intro for the gameplay voices..
Gameplay: Here is when it stands out. You fight out tons of zombies, I mean alooot. Each chapter you will probably kill about 100-200+. Very challenging when you raise the difficulty level. You also need teamwork and communication, And a very good game to play with friends, Because most people online either goes all out and rambo (And ends up dieing anyways) Or Kicks anyone that enters.
-If ever you have to go take a bathroom break, You can press start and choose "Take a break" It will show your idle and the AI will play as your character until you come back.
Kicking system = Stupid
Length: You can probably finish the whole campaign in 3-4 hours. Depending on how good your team are. But the replayability is HIGH. You will probably play this game over and over again. *Guaranteed* Very fun casual game.
Graphics: Not the best. Still kinda polygonish with somewhat bad texture quality. It just feels a little too monotoned. Needs more darkness. Zombies aren't scary because of bad design. But I guess the Physics Havok engine makes up for it, It makes the game maps more interactive. From doors to walls, You can even shoot through em. Depends what gun though
Conclusion.
Pro:
-High replay value
-Fun to play with friends
-Achievements are pretty fun to get
-Music is high quality
-No framerate lag whatsoever.
Con:
-Bad graphics, Typical CS/TF2 Design.
-No plot/Story
-Lots of noobs online
8.5/10
